A method called Selective Attention Drift Restriction (SADR) is introduced to mitigate Specificity Failure in knowledge editing of Large Language Models by regulating attention weight changes during the editing process.

Experiments on five frequently used strong LLMs demonstrate the effectiveness of our method, where SADR can significantly mitigate Specificity Failure in the predominant knowledge editing tasks.
